The Norbloon (sign:₦, sometimes nicknamed Norbbucks, Norb Dollars, and Botcoin) is the standard currency of the Norb Network. After discovering that each nation had its own monetary system, the Norbloon was created for further study on the subject.
It is one of the - if not the only - currencies in the known galaxy that is not fiat. It is backed by a a fixed exchange rate to several common metals and semiconductors, including steel, silicon, aluminum, copper, zinc, nickel, tin, and lead. This is possible as there are far less Norbloons in circulation that most other types of currency, due to its limited use. In addition to its role in international trade, it is used internally by frames who live in Norb cities that are intended to simulate and research the lifestyles of organic sentients.
