Platforms are one of the two major classes of Norb that make up the population of the Norb Network, in addition to Frames, and the most common. Platforms are electromechanical constructs with no ATIS and are usually compared to "robots" and "synthetics" from the popular media of other species. While this is applicable for certain platforms built to resemble robots, the term applies to all technological entities in the Network, including vehicles, factories, ships, tools, and miscellaneous computers.
